Working with Action for Children people, Modcomp will assist in the integration of Action for Children's eAspire system with the government’s controversial ContactPoint system.
ContactPoint is a country wide system being set-up by the government to support the work of local authorities, care workers and other support service providers who deal with children. Modcomp recently completed the development of the eAspire system for Action for Children. The eAspire system will support Action for Children throughout the organisation providing a database of all the children it works with. Given the nature of the information being stored, security and performance were of paramount importance.
The next stage of the eAspire project is to link it to the government's ContactPoint suite of systems. The objective is to share information across the systems. The integration will be two way – information will pass both to eAspire from ContactPoint and vice versa. The objective is to facilitate working across all the groups that deal with children and to ensure that any children at risk are identified quickly.
Modcomp will modify the eAspire system and will assist with the integration project which will use Microsoft’s BizTalk Server as the messaging and integration hub.
Modcomp is a Microsoft Gold partner specialising in developing database and integration systems. Modcomp employs a range of Microsoft certified consultants in its Wokingham offices.
