Change Management
The ability to manage a change programme is increasingly important for senior IT executives. The implementation of a major technology application often has impact across the business. It is also clear that the major benefit from the installation of new technology can only be fully realised if the processes and procedures of the organisation change to accomodate and take advantage of the new system. Recent projects include providing advice on the implementation of a change management office for a major pensions provider, to the management, planning, design and implementation of a programme to ensure that knowledge of a new system was cascaded throughout the Rugby clubs of England
Value Chain Analysis
Value Chain Analysis is the examination of value chain activities in order to identify wastage in terms of effort or unecessary processes. The objective is to idtenify improvements in the activites so that they are undertaken more efficiently, effectively and economically. Our consultants can help with a Value Chain Analysis programme. Once the preserve of manufacturing where the process was a key part of the Lean Manufacturing initiatives, Value Chain Analysis is now being recognised as a legitimate tool to improve almost any process in almost any organisation. Modcomp has recently been engaged to undertake a Value Chain Analysis at a major precious metals refinery owned by one of the worlds leading mining and minerals company.
Requirements Confirmation Study
One area in which we specialise is delivering a Requirements Confirmation Study. Usually involving a workshop attended by two Modcomp people and with key members of your organisation, the outcome of the Requirements Confirmation Study is a documented and agreed set of business requirements. This document can then be used by us, or your other suppliers, to cost and plan the solution.
The Requirements Confirmation Study provides:
- An opportunity to involve senior management in setting the requirements of the project
- A shared set of prioritised requirements
- A clear first step to starting the project
